BLESSED WITH A CHILD
The most rewarding moment of this Zambia Mission for me was seeing Grace, who I had operated on the year before. She had a large fibroid tumor that needed to be removed and she was worried that removing it would affect her fertility. She was newly married and really wanted a family. This year, she came to the hospital to see our team, and brought her 13 month-old daughter with her. When the child saw me, she stretched out her arms and gave me the biggest hug, as if she knew me. It brought tears to my eyes, and in that moment, I understood the importance of our surgical mission . To God be the glory!
