The book opens at the funeral of a young man in the community, the event that prompted the writing of the book. As she takes us through her personal history of tragedy, struggle, and loss the author offers spiritual information and practical advice to those caught up in depression and despair. Somber in tone but uplifting in nature, it’s a great book to share with a friend in trouble. Wish I’d had this book when I was in college.
