Bridge for Peace Children’s Village History

Since 2006, B4P has cared for orphaned children. In 2012, we envisioned building small homes to shelter infants and children who had been orphaned. Since then, we have constructed three beautiful and comfortable buildings where we currently provide for our infants and toddlers, and an elementary school attended by our older children and students from the community. Today, B4P is the guardian of 61 children from newborn to teens, providing for their needs, including services for B4P children with special needs. Most of our older children attend our B4P International School which educates 360 students.

In 2013, B4PCV began to realize the hope of becoming self-sustaining by establishing the B4P Farm to supply bananas, beans, and other food for our children and staff. In addition to thriving building and agricultural undertakings, B4P successfully completed livestock, solar, and water projects on our compound to support the B4P community of children and adult staff. Current B4P projects include girl’s and boy’s school dormitories and an administration block.

Sponsorship

“It is a privilege to be a sponsor for a Bridge for Peace child. My B4P child has become part of my family. We look forward to the updates and photos as we continue to pray for him. Watching our child grow through the years has brought us great joy. Knowing we are an important part of helping our child reach his God intended protentional is a true blessing for us.”

The relationship between our B4P children, their sponsors, and B4P ministry is inspirational, vibrant, and life-changing. We emphasize connection between the children and their sponsors. We witness our children’s sincere spontaneous prayers for their sponsors without prompting, when we meet with them weekly online. B4P sponsors and associates pray regularly for the children. B4PCV is committed to raising our children in the Christian faith and equipping them to become strong leaders.

Sponsors receive:

• two 5x7 frameable printed pictures each year
• digital birthday or special occasion pictures
• a letter from their sponsored child (when they learn to write!)
• health, achievements, and needs updates
• updates on intercessory prayer needs

Sponsors participate by:

• sending birthday and Christmas letters to their sponsored child through B4P*
• praying for their sponsored child’s needs
• sending a card and gift to their sponsored child when B4P missionaries from your nation visit Uganda
• providing $65 US monthly ($780 US annually) support that provides food, clothing, housing, medical care and tuition.

*B4P ensures every B4P child receives letters, gifts, and cards, as well as a birthday celebration if our sponsor finds themselves unable to provide these.
We invite you to be part of our B4P family by sponsoring a child or a caretaker at the B4PCV in Uganda. Your sponsorship provides food, clothing, housing, medical care, and school tuition for your sponsored child.

B4P Sponsors are Creative

B4P sponsors show creativity in supporting their child. Take a look at some of the ways they find to sponsor a child!
• Four married siblings provide three months support each to provide for a child for one year.
• Friends share the support of a child. Women find a way to sponsor a child by sharing the cost of annual support.
• Churches participate in mission outreach by sponsoring a child.
• Schools engage students through creative fundraisers for B4PCV.
• Women’s groups concerned about the needs of vulnerable children provide needed support for special projects.
We encourage your group to consider a one-time donation to B4PCV.

Bridge for Peace Children's Village

Bridge for Peace rescues children in the Kasese, Uganda area who have been orphaned by providing a partially self-sustaining home and farm.   The Bridge for Peace Children's Village empowers Ugandans and in turn lessens their dependence on international assistance and provides a safety net for many vulnerable children.  B4PCV began as a shared idea and will continue as a shared responsibility.  Impact a generation through your generosity.
